Personal development and further training at Fraunhofer IME

The personal and professional development of our employees is important to us. That is why we offer a wide range of opportunities for targeted development and promotion through tailored internal and external training measures.

Lifelong learning, qualification in line with requirements and the motivation of our employees are important to us. In our "Institute Strategy 2028", we have defined key objectives for both our new and long-standing employees:

  •     Systematic personnel development: we establish conceptual, systematic, person- and position-specific personnel development, including specialist and management careers as well as individual development planning.
  •     Promotion of junior staff: We develop and maintain expertise by training our own junior staff, also in international cooperation, and rely on well thought-out succession management.
  •     Systematic induction: We establish systematic induction processes to ensure a smooth start for new employees.

In order to be successful in the international research landscape, we use our internal talent pool through the targeted use of our knowledge management. We combine theoretical expertise and practical application knowledge to make the best possible use of our employees' skills and strengths. Extensive qualification programs

Our employees can choose from a wide range of training formats. These include both internal offers, which are provided depending on the location, as well as external training courses, which take place either in-house or externally.

In-house or external training:

  • Individual development goals are set in the employee appraisal.
  • Personal development through individual employee and management advisory services provided by BAD GmbH.
  • Cross-location meetings to exchange ideas and build a network.
  • Organizational and associated development of the institute's culture.
