Jobs / Career

Fraunhofer IME's innovative research activities are closely geared to current needs, above all sustainability and security of supply. As the molecular basis of the bioeconomy, we develop resource technologies and biotechnological processes for efficient use in industry: from food production and the development of new agricultural systems such as vertical farming, through the exploitation of bioresources, to pharmaceutical and food-grade proteins. We also investigate and utilize the molecular interactions between substances and organisms to develop and apply methods, guidelines and test strategies to detect and assess the ecological risk of substances.

As an employee of Fraunhofer IME, you are part of a dedicated team in an international environment and can use your skills efficiently to master meaningful tasks for a sustainable tomorrow. At our locations in Aachen, Münster, Gießen and Schmallenberg, we employ around 430 people in the fields of science, administration, infrastructure and technology. We are proud to have 54% female employees and promote equal opportunities and diversity.
