Metabolism in Crops and Animals Cultured for Food Production

© Fraunhofer IME

This research area comprises the investigation of uptake and metabolism of agrochemicals in crops and farm animals (initially in cultured fish) according to national and international legislation, e.g. EC 1107/2009 as basis for the assessment of consumer risks.

High resolution mass spectroscopy combined with cutting-edge NMR analytics and radiolabelling (14C) allows the determination and identification of unknown metabolites according to GLP.
