A further research focus deals with the molecular, cellular and genetic aspects of the resolution of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, such as arthritis, psoriasis, systemic sclerosis and liver disease. A particular emphasis is laid on lipid and redox mediators as well as on endogenous immunoregulatory mechanisms and ubiquitin signaling. Current projects are directed towards the development of novel anti-inflammatory biological agents. In the area of clinical research, we are concentrating on the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and other (auto)immune diseases.
